The first four weeks of college for me have been an amazing
experience. I have met so many amazing people, who I hope to continue to be
friends with throughout these four years. I have been learning more about
myself no only as a student but as a human being. I am finding out what my
strengths and weaknesses are as a learner. I am starting to figure out what I
need to do to succeed in college.
The first thing I have found that has helped me out during
these first four weeks is scheduling time to do things just for me. I know as a
person that I need time where I can just be alone and relax during the day.
Every Monday, Wednesday and Friday I am lucky enough to get out of class at 11.
When I get out of class I always sit down and do all of my homework that’s due
next class. I may get distracted for a few minutes if I need to eat lunch or
something but I know that, that time is for me to sit down and do work. This
scheduled time on these days has helped me a lot.
On the other hand I have found it a bit harder to do all of
my work on Tuesday and Thursday on Tuesday and Thursday. I have class from
11-1:40 and then from 3:15-4:30. Instead of having two classes like I do on
Monday, Wednesday and Friday I have three.
I am finding it is a bit of a challenge to get all of that work done at
once. So since I have so much time to do my work on MWF I will finish my work
left over from Tuesday and Thursday then.
All in all I am very happy that I am finding ways to enjoy
life as a college student!!!
