1. How has the liberal arts education effected my college
decision?
2. How does the liberal arts education help those out in the
work force? Do you think the liberal arts education will help you in the
future?
1. The liberal arts education never really had any effect on
me when deciding on where I personally wanted to go to college. For me the only
thing that mattered was that the schools I applied to had the major I desired.
For me the way you went through the courses had no effect on my decision.
Each college I applied to approached the liberal arts
education in a different way. Here at
southern we have the tier system where there are 3 tiers that you have to get
through while you are here. On the other hand assumption college another
college I got into and almost went to had a pyramid system you started at the
bottom where you had many different options of classes and then as you went up
it got more specific into your major. But since all the schools I had applied
to were liberal arts school there was really not that much of a difference for
me.
2. The liberal arts education is very important to find a
job in a job other than one at McDonalds. These days people look at what type
of education you have and what you learned at college. Without a liberal arts
education I feel like it is very challenging to get a good job. I know
personally the job I want to get you need a degree to work. So for me the
liberal arts education is a must. I really could not go to any other type of
school like an arts school or something. So for all of the people out there
debating what they want to do start at a liberal arts school and go from there.
